How to split a PDF

   Choose a PDF

   Click Choose PDF or drag the file onto the page. It is loaded only in your browser.

   Mark the split points

   Select every page that should become the first page of a new file.

   Each section is written as a separate PDF while retaining its page content, text and fonts.

   Download the result

   After checking the page count, dimensions and selectable text, the tool offers one ZIP containing all sections.

How the sections are named

Each filename contains the original name, its sequence number and its page range. This keeps the files in the correct order after extraction.

Choosing the right split points

Mark each page that should begin a new file. The first section always starts on page one, and every later marker closes the preceding section.

To keep only selected pages, use Extract pages from PDF instead. To discard pages, use Remove pages from PDF.

File size after splitting

Each part includes the fonts and resources used by its pages, so the combined size may be slightly larger than the original file.

If one part must fit an attachment limit, process that part separately with the Compress PDF tool.

Privacy

All processing takes place in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded to a server, and no data remains after you close the page.
