How to convert BMP to PDF

  1. 1

    Choose BMP

Click the choose button or drag the files onto the page. They remain in your browser.

  2. 2

    Adjust the options

Set the page size, margins and file order before creating the PDF.

  3. 3

    BMP to PDF

Start the conversion and wait while the output is generated locally on your device.

  4. 4

    Download the result

The tool verifies the number and dimensions of the generated pages or images before download.

Output quality and dimensions

Each image becomes a page. Matching size keeps its natural proportions, while A4 or US Letter fits it within the selected margins without cropping.

Choosing the right settings

Use matching page size for a PDF that follows the dimensions of each source image. Choose A4 or US Letter for a consistent document.

Margins add space around the image without cropping it. Landscape images automatically use landscape pages for fixed paper sizes.

What the conversion preserves

The image pixels and orientation are used to build each page. The output does not add OCR or searchable text.

The tool checks the expected item count and dimensions before making the result available.

Privacy

All processing takes place in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded to a server, and no data remains after you close the page.

FAQ

Are my files uploaded?

No. Conversion and verification take place locally in your browser, so the source files and results are not sent to a server.

Will the source files be changed?

No. Conversion creates a new output and leaves every original file on your device unchanged.

Which quality setting should I choose?

Choose a fixed paper size for printing or matching size when the original image proportions matter most.

Can I process several files or pages?

Yes. You can arrange several input images or export several PDF pages and download multiple results together in a ZIP archive.

Does conversion add OCR?

No. Image-to-PDF conversion does not recognise text, and PDF-to-image conversion turns the visible page into pixels.

Why is a BMP decoded before it is embedded?

PDF cannot directly embed every BMP variant. The built-in decoder converts supported bitmap data to pixels, which are then stored losslessly as PNG without changing their dimensions. The source files remain unchanged on your device throughout.

What happens to transparency in a 32-bit BMP?

The decoder retains transparency when it is present in a supported file. On a white PDF page, however, transparent regions will normally appear white. The source files remain unchanged on your device throughout.

Will text in the bitmap become searchable?

No. Lettering remains part of the image pixels. The tool performs no text recognition and does not add a searchable text layer to the new PDF. The source files remain unchanged on your device throughout.
