How to merge PDF files
-
1
Choose your files
Click Choose PDFs or drop the files onto the page. They are loaded only in your browser.
-
2
Arrange them
Use the arrows to set the order. All pages from the first file will come before the pages from the next file.
-
3
Merge the PDFs
The pages are copied into a new document without being converted into images.
-
4
Download the result
The tool checks the page count, dimensions, and selectable text before making the file available.
What is copied with each page
Page content, including text, images, vector graphics, and fonts, is copied. Bookmarks, form fields, digital signatures, and attachments are not transferred because they belong to the original document as a whole.
Different page sizes and orientations
Each page keeps its own size and rotation. A document may therefore contain A4 pages, landscape slides, and scans with different proportions.
If you need a consistent layout, rotate pages or convert scanned images to A4 before merging the files.
Size of the merged file
The result is usually close to the combined size of the source files, with some additional document overhead.
If the result is too large for an attachment, process it afterwards with the Compress PDF tool.
Privacy
Merging takes place in the browser tab. Your files are not sent to a server, and the original files on your device remain unchanged.
