  3. 3

    PDF to PNG

Start the conversion and wait while the output is generated locally on your device.

  4. 4

    Download the result

The tool verifies the number and dimensions of the generated pages or images before download.

Output quality and dimensions

PNG uses lossless compression and is useful for diagrams, interface captures and pages with fine text. Higher DPI creates larger images.

Choosing the right settings

Use 96 DPI for screens, 150 DPI for ordinary printing and 300 DPI when fine detail matters.

Export only the required page range when you do not need an image from every page.

What the conversion preserves

Each PDF page is rendered as an image, so selectable text becomes pixels in the exported file.

The tool checks the expected item count and dimensions before making the result available.

Privacy

All processing takes place in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded to a server, and no data remains after you close the page.

FAQ

Are my files uploaded?

No. Conversion and verification take place locally in your browser, so the source files and results are not sent to a server.

Will the source files be changed?

No. Conversion creates a new output and leaves every original file on your device unchanged.

Which quality setting should I choose?

Use 150 DPI for most needs. Choose 300 DPI for detailed printing and 96 DPI for smaller screen images.

Can I process several files or pages?

Yes. You can arrange several input images or export several PDF pages and download multiple results together in a ZIP archive.

Does conversion add OCR?

No. Image-to-PDF conversion does not recognise text, and PDF-to-image conversion turns the visible page into pixels.

Does selectable PDF text remain selectable in PNG?

No. Rendering turns the complete page into pixels and does not carry over the text layer. The tool also performs no text recognition. The source files remain unchanged on your device throughout.

When should I use PDF to JPG instead?

JPG is often better for photographs, colour scans and smaller files. Prefer PNG for text, diagrams and lines when you need lossless storage of the rendered pixels. The source files remain unchanged on your device throughout.

Can I convert an encrypted PDF?

No. First process the protected document with Unlock PDF. You can then render selected pages, and the resulting PNG files will contain no password or active PDF elements. The source files remain unchanged on your device throughout.
