Converting PDF to PNG
PDF to PNG is the right choice when a page has to stay perfectly sharp: diagrams, charts, floor plans, tables, slides full of text or pages you want to edit further in a graphics program. PNG stores the page without lossy compression, so small print and thin lines look exactly as they do in the PDF at the resolution you choose.

Pick the resolution
For sharp graphics choose 150 or 300 DPI. 300 DPI gives enough detail for printing or for cropping out a small part of the page.

Export All pages, or only Selected pages, for example 3 or 1, 5-7.

Click Convert PDF to PNG. One page downloads as a PNG file, more pages arrive as a ZIP archive.
Crisp text and graphics in high quality
Text and vector graphics in a PDF are drawn fresh at the resolution you choose, so at 300 DPI letters and lines are as sharp as on a printed page. PNG then saves every pixel without compression artefacts. Photos and scans placed in the PDF cannot gain detail this way: they stay exactly as sharp as they were in the original file.
Good uses for PNG images of PDF pages
Use PNG for a chart you want to place in a presentation, a diagram for a wiki or documentation, a page of a manual for a support ticket, or a plan you will mark up in an image editor. Because the format is lossless, you can edit the image and save it again without it degrading.
The page is drawn on white, so the PNG has no transparent background, even where the PDF page looks empty. If you need a logo or graphic with transparency, export it from the original design file instead.
File size and the JPG alternative
Lossless storage makes PNG files larger, especially for pages with photos or coloured backgrounds. At 300 DPI every page has millions of pixels, so a long document can produce a ZIP of hundreds of megabytes. Select only the pages you need to keep it manageable.
For photos, colour scans and pages you simply want to share, PDF to JPG gives much smaller files. Password-protected documents must first be opened with Unlock PDF.
Privacy
All processing takes place in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded to a server, and no data remains after you close the page.
