Converting HEIC to PDF
iPhones and iPads save photos as HEIC by default. The format is compact, but Windows computers, many office programs and upload forms cannot open it. Convert HEIC to PDF when you need to send photos of documents, receipts or forms, or to share a few pictures as one file that opens anywhere, without installing anything.

Colours and file size of iPhone photos
iPhones record photos in the wide Display P3 colour space. Many PDF viewers would show those colours dull, so the tool converts them to standard sRGB and the photos look the way you expect. PDF cannot hold HEIC itself, so each photo is stored losslessly as PNG. That keeps the full quality, but the PDF will be larger than the original HEIC files.
iPhone photos on a Windows computer
If you receive iPhone photos as .heic files, for example through cloud storage or email, a Windows computer may not open them without an extra extension. Nothing has to be installed here: drag the files onto this page and download a PDF that opens on any device.
For a photographed document, choose A4 or US Letter with Narrow margins, so each photo fills one page without cropping. The text in the photo stays part of the image and cannot be searched. If the PDF is too large for an upload form, reduce it with Compress PDF.
Saving new photos as JPG instead
If you often need photos that open everywhere, change the format on your iPhone: open Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible. New photos are then saved as JPG, and you can turn them into a PDF with JPG to PDF without any quality loss.
Photos you have already taken stay in HEIC. You can mix them with JPG photos, PNG screenshots or scans in one document using Images to PDF, which accepts HEIC as well.
Privacy
All processing takes place in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded to a server, and no data remains after you close the page.
