Images saved from websites often turn out to be WebP files, which some older programs, printers and office tools refuse to open. Converting WebP to PDF gives you a document that opens anywhere: product photos for a quote, an infographic for a meeting or the pictures from an online article you want to keep.

Why the PDF can be larger than the WebP files
PDF cannot store WebP directly, so the tool saves the pixels of each image in the PDF as lossless PNG. The picture loses nothing more than it already lost when it was saved as WebP. The price is size: WebP is very compact, and the same pixels stored without loss can take several times more space. Transparent areas are kept and show on the white page.
Saving images from the web as a PDF
Right-click an image in your browser, choose to save it, and you often get a .webp file. Collect the pictures you need, add them here and arrange them, for example product photos in the order of a price list or the charts from an online report.
Keep in mind that images on websites are often reduced for faster loading. The PDF keeps the pixel dimensions of each WebP exactly, so a small web image will look small or soft when it is printed across a whole A4 or US Letter page.
Smaller files and text in WebP images
When the PDF is meant for email or an upload form, shrink it after conversion with Compress PDF. This helps most with photos, while graphics with flat colours usually stay small anyway.
Text inside a WebP image, such as the captions of an infographic, stays part of the picture. It is visible in the PDF but cannot be searched or copied. To combine WebP with JPG or PNG files in one document, use Images to PDF.
