Converting TIFF to PDF
TIFF is the format of office scanners, fax software and document archives, and one TIFF file often holds a whole multipage document. Converting TIFF to PDF gives you a file that every phone and computer opens and that is far easier to send by email. Before it is created, you can check every page, change the order and remove the ones you do not need.

Choose TIFF files
Click Choose images or drag .tif or .tiff files onto the page. A multipage TIFF is split into its pages in the list.

Check the pages
Each item shows its frame number, for example frame 2 of 5. Move pages with the arrows, remove blank ones and mix pages from several files.

Choose the page size
Match image uses the resolution stored in the scan, so an A4 page scanned at 300 DPI becomes an A4 page again. A4 or US Letter evens out pages of different sizes.

Download the PDF
Click Convert TIFF to PDF. The number of pages and their dimensions are checked before the download.
How scanned pages are stored
Black-and-white scans, typical for faxes and text documents, are stored losslessly, so letters and lines keep their sharp edges. Colour and greyscale pages are saved as high-quality JPG, which makes a PDF from uncompressed scans many times smaller than the TIFF itself. Any transparent areas become white, like a sheet of paper.
Faxes and multipage scans
Fax software and many scanners save every page of a document into one TIFF file. In the list you see each page separately with its frame number, so you can spot a blank or duplicate page and remove it before the PDF is created, without touching the original file.
Pages from several TIFF files can be combined into one document in any order, for example a contract scanned in two batches. If a page needs rotating after the conversion, use Rotate PDF. To drop pages from the finished file later, use Delete PDF pages.
Scans are images, not text
A scan is a picture of the paper, and the PDF keeps it that way. The tool does not recognise text (OCR), so you cannot search the PDF for a word or copy a paragraph out of it. Keep that in mind if the recipient needs to work with the content.
Long scans at a high resolution need a lot of memory. If a large TIFF is slow on your device, convert it in parts and join the results with Merge PDF. A finished PDF that is still too big can be reduced with Compress PDF.
Privacy
All processing takes place in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded to a server, and no data remains after you close the page.
